MIAAA Registrations -

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JULY 1  - You will now be getting reminders to update and complete your membership renewal online.  If you need to pay by check - complete the online process, print the invoice and send your check to Karen Leinaar, PO Box 1708, Frankfort, MI 49635.

 

If you are a new Athletic Director or Administrative Assistant - you need to send your name and email address to karenleinaar@gmail.com or mbakker@fentonschools.org - we must put you in the system to become a member.

Fall has arrived and as you are taking care of your coaches professional memberships take care of your own.

The MIAAA is one of 51 state organizations for Athletics Directors; we offer two great conferences for our membership, great networking opportunities, the NIAAA Leadership Training courses, and a direct involvement with  the MHSAA.  All of these and many others opportunities that can last a lifetime even if the position does not.

Three days in March at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa for a nationally renown Conference with peer speakers, leadership training courses, MHSAA Coaches Education opportunities, over 100 vendors, a superb banquet and time to talk with over 400 men and women in our same positions.  Just one way to justify your membership - a Professional Learning opportunity !!!

Welcome to our website. We hope you will find that it is more comprehensive and complete for your use.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES.

MICHIGAN IS A DUAL MEMBERSHIP STATE WHICH MEANS YOUR MEMBERSHIP DUES WILL INCLUDE MEMBERSHIP IN THE MIAAA AND THE NIAAA FOR ONE PRICE.

The advantages of this is that by being a member of both organizations brings with it more benefits than ever before.


Some but not all of the NIAAA benefits are

  • $2,000,000 Liability Insurance while performing the duties of an Athletic Administrator

  • $2500 Life Insurance Policy

  • Ability to purchase Long Term Health Care at discounted  rates

  • Ability to nominate students from your school for the NIAAA Scholarship annually

  • Opportunity for national recognition through the NIAAA Awards Program

  • Ability to be on a NIAAA Committee

  • Many more benefits that can be checked on by going to the NIAAA.org website

The MIAAA will now provide a $5,000 Life Insurance policy with a death and dismemberment clause with double indemnity for accidental death.
Some but not all of the MIAAA benefits are:

    • Annual conference in Traverse City - March

    • Summer Workshop in Mt. Pleasant- June

  • Networking with all other Michigan Athletic Directors

  • Opportunity of taking Leadership Training Courses toward certifications, RMSAA, RAA, CAA, CMAA in the state

  • Opportunity to be involved in many committees and programs sponsored by the MIAAA.
