At the most recent MIAAA Board of Directors meeting, approval was given for a Constitutional Amendment to be voted on by the membership. Per the constitution, all amendments must be presented to the general membership thirty days in advance of voting on the below amendment will take place starting January 8, 2018 and close on January 10, 2018.  The new amendment would allow for the an Administrative Assistant of the Year award to be given at the annual conference.  The information below is the pertinent information for this new award and constitutional language. 


Administrative Assistant of the Year

Presented on an annual basis to a MIAAA member who, through their position as an Administrative Assistant, has made a significant impact in the social and cultural environment for their athletes, coaches, school and community.

• Current member of MIAAA

• Fifteen(15) years of service in Michigan (*Must have combination of 15 years of MIAAA  membership and/or MIAAA Annual Conference attendance)

• Time, effort, and commitment to athletics and/or the MIAAA as an athletic administrative assistant.

• Once a person becomes inactive in interscholastic athletics, the Awards Committee may still consider the name for the following year.

Deadline: November 1 (February 1, 2018 for 2018 banquet)
