Michigan’s professional organization of school athletic directors, the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) and the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), held the seventh Leadership Academy for high school athletic directors in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on August 1st & 2nd.  Eight athletic directors attended and began the process of obtaining national certification in athletic administration.  The program has served 105 athletic administrators since its inception in 2011.

The 7th annual Leadership Academy attendees were enthusiastic in their praise:  “I think a major strength of the academy is the learning opportunity afforded by the veteran faculty.  What a great network building event for all of us.  I feel confident going into the start of the school year!”  Another participant remarked, “There is great value in having a small group that allowed for honest and authentic interactions with ample time for reflection.”
